Part-Time Bartender
Position Overview
The Crooked Stave Beertender is responsible for ensuring consistent, professional, friendly and efficient service to guests and adherence to the company’s policies and procedures. The Beertender must have a love and passion for craft beer.
This position will start with Friday, Saturday and Tuesday shifts with potential for additional coverage hours.
Reporting Relationships
The Beertender reports to the Taproom Manager and executive managers.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities
▪ Providing excellent customer service while pouring our hand-crafted beers
▪ Educating customers about Crooked Stave beer and the differences between styles, as well as the history and culture of the company
▪ Stocking of kegs, packaged product, and merchandise
▪ Maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the taproom and patio space
▪ Operating POS system efficiently, while properly handling cash and credit card transactions

▪ A positive attitude, highly developed customer service skills and strong verbal and written communication skills
▪ A solid work ethic and sense of urgency; strong organizational skills and attention to detail; the ability to multi-task, prioritize competing tasks, work independently, while excelling in a collaborative team environment
▪ Ability to problem-solve and work through challenges while remaining calm, flexible and upbeat, knowing when to ask for help to prevent mistakes and complete the task.
▪ Working knowledge, understanding and promotion of the company’s vision and values, products, and policies and procedures
▪ Knowledge of beverage service procedures, laws and regulations; an understanding of Crooked Stave’s brewing processes and beer styles
▪ Must be punctual, ambitious, and employ effective time management skills
▪ Writing and math skills necessary to accurately account for cash and inventory management
▪ Flexible schedule and willingness to work days, nights, weekdays, weekends and some holidays
Qualification Requirements
▪ To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential role satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
▪ Brewery/Taproom experience is preferred
▪ Must be 21 years of age or older
▪ Must be authorized to work in the United States
▪ Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying 55+ lbs and maneuvering up to 165 lbs
▪ TIPS Certified
Hourly Rate: $15.27 plus pooled tips by the pay period
